Yo Yo Yo! Happy Thanksgiving (almost). I’m currently down in Orlando for the week where my family got a house. This will be a fun week with family, a trip to Disney World, and a new shoot with the lovely Dahliaisdopey! Today though I have six new sets for you including a new multi-muse set.
To start I would love to introduce new muse Alicia Vigil. Those following along may recognize Alicia from her appearance as part of her band Vigil of War in a live music set I shot while checking out Cindy Clark’s (former) band Earthsleep at The Whisky-A-Go-Go. Cindy, Alicia, and I made plans to all shoot together but until we can line up everyone’s schedule Alicia and I made plans to shoot together. I took Alicia to my iconic Switzer Falls where it turns out she had actually been before. Alicia brought her own Make-up Artist by the name of Kerri Evans. Kerri did a beautiful job with Alicia’s look that really cut to the bone. The shoot itself with Alicia was legendary and absolutely one of my favorite shoots of all time. Alicia is the sweetest but has this real evil vibe to her that I just adore.
Up next is a brand new set with the returning Little Lotus. It was wonderful to get together again with this beautiful soul. Little Lotus has wonderful style which makes sense that she has her own Vintage Clothing brand. The two of us headed to Elysian Park, Chinatown, The Art District of Downtown, and finally a quick little spot by my house in Highland Park. We had a lot of fun time exploring and made plans for a few killer collabs in the near future.
For our third set I got together once again with my fellow New Englander Sofia Weinberg. Sofia told me she wanted to shoot some lingerie and I thought what better place than the abandoned George Air Force Base in Victorville. In addition to the the lingerie Sofia brought this really dope Harley Quinn outfit she got for Halloween that didn’t arrive in time (so she wound up going as Suicide Squad Harley). I always love visiting this weird abandoned space that’s the size of a small town. The vibe there is so creepy. We shot most of the set at my favorite building but wound up leaving after some other explorers showed up and decided throwing glass bottles was fun. We shoot some sunset shots inside of one of the barracks buildings and got this real Cindy Crawford 90’s vibe. After the shoot we stopped on our way home at Cracker Barrel. I had no idea SoCal even had Cracker Barrels but I’m so glad we found one.
This next set is really interesting because it was inspired by the adventures rather than the other way around. Street Artist WRDSMTH was having the grand opening of a public show of his at The Bloc in Downtown (this sort of open mall area) and Bloody Gums Collective (who I’ve shown with before) were having a show at Angel City Brewery in The Arts District (where I’ve also shown before). I invited both Miss Chaos and May to the show. We’ve all been wanting to shoot together so things worked out really well. I took a couple of photos of Miss Chaos and May in the past one time when we were all hanging out and they had these great vibes. Those vibes only escalated during our shoot. I never would have thought to pair them before but you can see in the photos that it just works so magically with this real fun kink vibe. Miss Chaos had to hit up another event after the WRDSMTH show so May and I continued on to the Bloody Gums show were Little Lotus was vending. Overall this was a really fun shoot especially considering how low-key it was.
We’ve got a double dose of Miss Chaos with a new solo shoot. Originally we were thinking of heading out of town to visit some cool new abandoned spot but given the fires in LA we decided travel might be a little difficult and gave in to the local vibes with stops in Atwater Village, Boyle Heights, and Little Tokyo. We really lucked out and found some killer spots. We also ate some delicious sushi and finished with matcha ice cream. Great set with a great muse.
Lastly we have a new set with the magical Brittny Nicole aka Cosmic Daughter. The Cosmic one hit me up asking if I’d like to go on some adventures with her to Manifest in Downtown (which we previously shot one of our sets at). I was more than down for some adventures which turned in to two days of some shoots. We shot the bulk of the set at the apartment of Jessi Jae Joplin (Manifest’s promoter). It was a really rad apartment to shoot in beautiful decorated by her and roommates including Alaska Mangialetto of Jacked Fashion who loaned us some clothes as well as her room for some shots. Our shoot also included some photos at Manifest as well as finishing at a favorite location, Pasadena City Hall. Also we dropped some acid. Enjoy!
