Got a quick little post with three brand news for you on this beautiful Friday afternoon. Up first we have another show with Cindy Clark's band Earthsleep in their final show of their two month long residency at The Whisky-A-Go-Go. I'm really glad I made it out as I think these are some killer photos. Immediately after they were done playing a kickass set I told Cindy I thought I got some great photos this time. She told me I got great photos the last time. I did in fact get some really solid photos in that last set but I told her the difference was that after the last one I wasn't sure I got any good ones and I did, this time I was super I did. I did not stay for the other bands this time BUT you do get the bonus cameo of OG Muse COREY ZICARI! Corey is back after a 2.5 year hiatus in Minnesota so these couple photos are just a taste before we really get in to after she settles back in.
Up next is a brand new set with the returning Tea Beez! Tea Beez and I have both been so busy (despite living really close to one another) that this our first set in about a year and my first time taking any photos of her since our joint photo show together back in September. For this one we bucked the norm of my shoots, got up super early, and drove out to El Matador Beach in deep Malibu (almost Ventura county). I'd never been to Matador this early and it was quite worth it as we had the entire beach to ourselves and the light was really soft. We busted out a killer set in a pretty short amount of time but it'll seem like we must have been there forever.
Finally another return with Chelsea Lugosi. I was without my car for most of the week as my mechanic was fixing my AC just in time for the hot hot heat of LA summer so it was a really wonderful surprise when Chelsea Lugosi offered to pick me up for some photo fun time. Since the last time I saw Chelsea she got these beautiful new dreads that I was really excited to photograph We kept things kind of local hitting up The Old LA Zoo, a Risk Rock wall in Atwater Village, and then making our way downtown for some night shooting. I was started to get pretty tired at the end so we almost didn't shoot what wound up being some of my absolute favorite shots towards the end with all this killer fire stuff. Fortunately I rallied and Chelsea hooked up a cool roof on the edge of downtown. I also happened to have some fun new toys from GloFx so I think you'll love all of this as much as I do! Enjoy your weekend and don't forget if you love these sets to share!
