Hello! Good morning! Welcome back all you little Kung Fu Breakfasters (Breakfastites? Breakfastians?). It's been a rollercoaster few weeks. First of all I have to sadly announce that the new Arqade 2.0 aka Jade Apothecary is already done. My friend Cev's business partner Gary completely fucked him over because he's a selfish asshole and now things are caput. Knowing Cev and Arqade crew things are just sort of back in a regrouping phase but it's two since the last post I shared with you including several sets in the space that Cev worked so hard on only to be double crossed, so that was a bummer but we will prevail.
Shortly after this sad revelation I got together for my first shoot with Alyssa Skateelf. Alyssa is a close friend of KFB Muse Brianna Christine. Alyssa contacted me a few months ago about wanting to shoot and we were finally able to get it together (Alyssa also make a brief cameo in the one and only Rockwalk set from Jade Apothecary). I intended to take Alyssa to Switzer Falls but when we arrived there was a sign stating the location was closed to the public for the day. We headed further up in to Angeles National Forest towards Mount Wilson and as we ascended in to the mountains we were not disappointed when a thick fog began to engulf us.
We found a killer mysterious trail. It was real kismet as Alyssa had brought her samurai sword and all the elements came together extremely well. Alyssa was totally fun to shoot with and brought a strong booty game. During our adventures we stumbled across an old tunnel on the trail that I had read about in my various researching abandoned places but had no idea was right there until we rounded the corner. We arrived the top of the mountain there was a light snow that was really cool to see though mostly was just getting us wet so we headed back. Alyssa is also a photographer so she took some photos of me as well that I'll try to add to my own portrait page when I get a chance.
A few days later I travel west once again to visit The Spritely One in Ventura. Sprite is quickly becoming one of my most inspiring muses. I know the two of us can get together in a fairly short period of time and bust out photos that look like they would require weeks of planning. All Sprite said to me is that there was a flower field near her house that's cool and she wasn't kidding. On my way to Ventura I talked with my close friend and muse Grey Garbo who happened to be shooting in Chatworth that day, so I picked her up on the way and she joined us, even making a few cameos in the set. Grey found an abandoned bathtub in the middle of the flower field that was just epic. In addition to the flower field we visited a melted playground, and finished off with some photos in the park. Eventually the three of us made our way back to Sprite's place and played some Cthulhu Fluxx.
In the following days I celebrated my birthday by going camping with my good friend Steven Burhoe. I took some photos but not really enough for a set, however if you zip over to my instagram you can check them out. In my first set at the age of 34 I got together with my friend May. I always love how fun and playful May is and taking her to Switzer Falls really brought out a lot of fun opportunities. At one point she got in to some plants that we were alerted were poison oak but fortunately she did not get any rash.
A few days after that I was really stoked for a new shoot with Brianna Christine. Brianna's become a good friend since our first shoot together so it was cool to head out and see her home turf. She showed me some cool woodsy spots and we did a lot of implied nudity. Brianna had just gotten her hair done this rich purple by a hair artist named Amanda aka TheHairyGodmotherr. Amanda and I have been discussing collaborating and maybe shooting together when she makes her move from Dallas to Los Angeles, so I was stoked that she worked on Brianna's hair the day before. Brianna really looks like a faery in the shoot so you're welcome for that.
This week of shooting would present two new muses in my life: the first is a lovely lady named Sarah Seraine. Sarah went to makeup school with KFB Muse Alondra Excene Shields, had been seeing my work, and wanted to shoot together. I was more than happy to oblige and I'm glad I did as Sarah was really rad and all about the things that I'm all about. I took her to the abandoned Nike Missile Site that has become one of my regular go-to abandoned spots. We had an amazing time and busted out some killer photos in a nice little afternoon jaunt. Not too much else to say about it other than expect to see more of Sarah in the future.
For the second new muse may I introduce Sage Sin. Sage and I have been trying to get together for the better part of this year but for one reason or another (to no one's fault) it just didn't happen until now. Well who cares because we had a really rad shoot out in Switzer Falls. I'm really excited about Sage because in addition to being a kickass model with a great look she also a PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER. Those that know me know that I'm a big pro wrestling fan so we talked a lot about the squared circle. Sage brought some great outfits and ideas and we just had a fun time kicking it so expect to see more from her in the future as well. Overall I'm super proud of all these sets so have a wonderful weekend and enjoy!
