EEEP! Sorry to leave everyone hanging but I've been in a bit of a haze the last few weeks prepping the finalization of my soon-to-be-released (hopefully) videos with Angelina Christina plus the screening in Indio last Sunday (maybe a different story for a different day). But this week I'm a little back on course. I had two shoots with close friends that are both moving out of state for the time being so that was a little tough, I had another shoot with a new model where we checked out the poppy reserves in Antelope Valley. It was the first time the wild flowers bloomed in 5 years and it only lasts for less than a month so I was happy to get out there to create some magic.
Speaking of magic, there was something really magical about this set I'm showing you today with one of my favorites Grey Garbo. Grey and I had shot just a few days prior for our last set Tiny Dancer when she hit me up saying that a makeup artist named Natalie Sheets would be doing some killer face-painting action on her and wanted to know if I was interested in shooting. I love shooting with Grey so it was a no brainer, then when I arrived and saw the beautiful makeup I was even more stoked. I picked Grey up in Hollywood with very little gameplan other than that we needed to head back towards downtown to Arqade, the gallery where Grey lives/works with her boyfriend Ceven.
We stopped by some of my favorite visually appealing street art pieces in Hollywood and then the Arts District of Downtown (getting some pie on the way), we made a stop at ArtShareLA and eventually wound up back at Arqade. We had more time to play around Arqade so Grey borrowed a few outfits from AD Now Apparel (who was co-occupying the space at the time) and we shot around the building including some striking nudes on the roof. All around it was a killer shoot that turned out amazing considering there was zero gameplan (my favorite kind of gameplan). Big thanks to Natalie Sheets for doing such a great job on the makeup, AD Now Apparel for letting us play with some rad clothes, and Arqade as always for providing a fun space to play. Enjoy!
