Happy Monday! Since I started doing Lyft driving Mondays have taken on a new meaning for me as my first of three days off. Of course lately I pack those days off with photo shoots and adventure but we will just ignore that part. It's amazing how far you can push yourself when you're enjoying yourself. This was exactly the case when my favorite Kiwi, Em Wafer, and I left The Rock-a-Hoola Waterpark during our very first shoot together and ventured on several more hours to The City of Sin: Las Vegas!
There are many things I love about Em including her wonderful artistic abilities, great conversational skills, emotional openness, etc. but in this instance what I particularly love is her sense of adventure. I can't remember if I mentioned we should keep going on to Vegas or she did but we were halfway there and Em was only visiting for a short time before heading back to New Zealand so I thought I would show her a good time and get a chance to make some more rad art. Em and I decided to concentrate on my favorite part of Vegas: Downtown or Old Las Vegas, which includes The Arts District and Fremont Street.
We had a killer time walking under the crazy lights, checking out some beautiful murals, getting a bit inebriated and walking in to some random hotel. We couldn't stay long as there was no way we were getting a hotel room so after a few hours we piled back in the car, stopped by Rock-a-Hoola for a few quick night shots, and then got back to my house right around sunrise. This would not be the last I would see of Em before her trip was over, but let's just call that "to be continued".
