It's dismal in Los Angeles. The rain started to come in yesterday but I still managed to fit in two shoots with KFB alum Melissa Eugene and new Kung Fu Babe Lady Krondor. Melissa and I spent a little time in the valley before heading to The Getty for such much needed culture while Lady Krondor and I took a walk in the haunted Cobb Estate in Altadena. I've shot in Cobb once before with Stephanie Inagaki for a daytime hike, but night there was definitely creepier. It wasn't particularly cold and yet we could see our breath. At the end of the shoot one of my favorite lenses started malfunctioning so I headed home to try to fix it. I didn't really fix it all the way but let's just say my jerry rigging skills got it to where it needs to be, though it took me until 4 in the morning to do it.
Meanwhile I felt like I needed a pick me up and then I remembered a killer shoot I had with the wonderful Lex Lu a few months ago. I met up with Lex during the same couple of weeks that Angelina and I were working on the South Central mural of Lex that Angelina did based on photos from my first shoot with Lu. The shoot went well and one of the photos wound up getting used as the basis for Angelina's secret piece high atop the South Central wall, so in a way you've already seen the image but now you can see it in it's full set.
Try not to be too gloomy today and click on the photo below for a pick me up
