Here comes the sun! My Dad is a huge Beatles fan so we listened to A LOT of Beatles growing up (I like the early stuff) so there's a few specific songs I think of in certain situations and in LA there's so little rain that when it does rain and eventually the sun comes out I think of that one lyric. Anyway, but rain did not deter any of my shooting. I got in two killer shoots with Lady Krondor. In my last post I mentioned our shoot in the haunted Cobb Estate and how we had technical difficulties. We wound up getting in a lot of great photos but for some reason I just did not feel completely satisfied as I felt we were just hitting a stride so we talked and decided to pick things up again the next night. Due to the rain we decided to stay inside and shot inside Lady Krondor's Valencia apartment. We had a great time and two great sets.
I met Lady Krondor through Instagram. Today I'm photographing Astraia Espirit who I also met through social media. Social media has been a great tool for me for linking up with some rad people. One of the raddest I met was through Facebook. I got a friend request earlier this year from a girl named Svitlana Zavialova. I assumed at first that this was a spam account as I often spam friend requests from international names. But Svitlana turned out to be real. I accepted the request and soon after she messaged me. Svitlana told me how she was from Eastern Europe, living in Thailand, a model, actress, and world Wushu Champion. I looked Svitlana up and everything was legit. She told me loved my website, could see what I was really going for with my art, etc. We also talked through some personal stuff and quickly became close friends. She let me know soon after that she would be coming through LA and we've gotten the chance to hang out several times, and shoot as well. On our first set together we decided to keep things kind of light and casual but the photos certainly came out beautiful. Stay tuned for more to come soon!
