The last leg of our roadtrip to Miami through the rest of Florida felt like it took forever. I've experienced this several times driving through the entirety of Florida. Your GPS tells you that you're so many hours away but then somehow its like four more hours than that and yet you don't really remember hitting a bunch of traffic or stopping a lot. I'm pretty confident there's a time vortex through Florida somewhere. We arrived late, picked up Fanakapan who had arrived from London only a few hours before, celebrated with Kevin Ledo, and passed out for a few hours. When we woke the next morning it was time to start our projects and one of the very first ones was a group wall put together by another Englishman, Himbad. We did a quick wash on the wall and left.
We wouldn't return to the wall until our final days in Miami. We had become so consumed in our projects that there simply wasn't time. I honestly wasn't even sure we'd be able to do the wall at all but leading up to our last stretch I took a much needed break and slept in our room for a night. When I returned to Angelina back at The Old RC Cola Factory she told me that she busted out a beautiful piece while I was gone and needed to just put the finishing touches on. The night before we left we went back to the wall and I saw this beautiful, flowing, girl on the wall and just felt it was stunning. Angelina told me she worked a little looser on the piece than normal due the time constraints but also as an artistic choice. What I love about the finished piece is that it still has Angelina's meticulous detail but the easy and loose nature shines through in a very flowy kind of way that makes the whole thing feel very calm and zen. Book ends to our trip.
