Every time I shoot with Annie Motel it feels like we're entering this other world which is a mix of Studio System Hollywood, old school West Coast Hip Hop, and some future thing I know nothing about, so it was only fitting that we headed to Hollywood Blvd. for our most recent shoot.
In the eight years I've been in Los Angeles I've never shot anything in the heart of Hollywood so this was a whole new experience. It was a pretty wild scene actually. Every time we would take a photo these big crowds of people would stop. People in LA do tend to stop when you're taking a photo but not to this degree. I hope at least one family from Ohio felt like they were seeing some genuine Hollywood photo shoot (because they were!)
After Hollywood Blvd. we headed to The Roosevelt expecting to get kicked out but there were so many people going in and out that I don't think anyone even noticed us. These shots might have been my favorite as Annie looked like a spy out of some 60's/70's James Bond-type film.
Annie and I decided to hit one last location outside of Hollywood on our way back to Highland Park. I had the idea to put her in a bikini bottom and crop top and we decided an old school grocery store would be the perfect location. She found this black cap and I felt like this fit perfectly with our Hollywood motif. We took about 4-5 pictures before getting kicked out by security but each of the shots were perfect. Annie Motel is magic and I hope you enjoy our new set as much as we do.
