When discussing both Cryptik and Push you're talking about two of the Master artists working today. I've photographed Cryptik once before but this time was different. During Pow! Wow! Cryptik didn't have one blank canvas and he wasn't working alone. He had a small team and was painting on an apartment building. The end result was truly inspiring.
I didn't really get a chance to do several days with Push because I had forgotten he was painting until the last day. Most of the artists were in a concentrated area of Long Beach but Push was on the Northern outskirts of Long Beach. I was fortunate enough to get some really beautiful shots during that one small period though and watching what he can do is simply staggering.
This brings Pow! Wow! Long Beach! 2015 to an official close for me, but Tuesday and Wednesday will bring an unofficial twist as we get artists working in Long Beach during the event, but unaffiliated (and they are two of my favorites).
