Kara Ow is one of my favorite people. Sometimes you just jive with certain people and I call those "Spiritual Siblings". We are related to some by blood and others by stardust and I think Kara and I are siblings in the latter. I know to be especially true because I decided to randomly hit her up about shooting recently when I hadn't seen her in a year and she just happened to be in LA.
Kara lives in Sacramento and I just happened to meet her a few years ago from another spiritual sibling, Regina Rogers. Kara and I hit it off then so seeing each other again felt like we hadn't lost a step. We originally were going to do one kind of shoot but then I received a text that morning from a friend on the west side that the fog was rolling in.
I once went hiking in the Pacific Palisades on the Temescal Canyon Trail while dropping acid and experienced the amazing weather occurrence of the fog rolling in. I've been wanting to shoot someone in that fog since then (over a year ago) but the weather conditions for the fog is somewhat difficult to predict. Fortunately LA experienced an unusual amount of humidity recently. With the fog now set I knew Kara was absolutely the right person so we headed to Malibu.
We had an amazing shoot and I kept thinking of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac so I included it below. Click the photo for the full set and listen to Fleetwood Mac while you look!
