There are two sides to Los Angeles: there's the Eastside and the Westside. Those telling you that there's a middle are crazy because there really only sections closer to either the Eastside or Westside. I'm an Eastside guy and always have been since I moved to LA. I first lived even beyond the East in San Gabriel Valley in a little town called Rosemead living in a house with an abundance of roommates while I attended Art Center College of Design for Grad School. I then lived in Northeast LA in Glendale for several years before moving to Silverlake and briefly Echo Park (staples of the Eastside). Eventually I moved to my currently location back nestle in Northeast Los Angeles in Highland Park. So, when I travel to the Westside of town it's like going on a roadtrip and I don't come back to my side of town until all business is finished.
Recently I was working a freelance video gig that required me to deliver footage to a woman in Santa Monica (one might argue the capital of the Westside). Unfortunately on her way to our meeting she had a domestic dispute that resulted in her forgetting she did not have the password to her laptop. I arranged with the 2nd Videographer to meet with him later in the evening in Marina Del Rey (deep Westside) after he was finished with another gig. This left me with an entire day on The Westside so I did what I always do and hit up a few of my Westside ladies to photograph. When the time came for the 2nd Videographer to meet me he bailed but fortunately for me I did get two shoots out of the day.
The first of my Westside shoots for the day would come with the return of KFB Regular Heather Rabun. Heather didn't have a ton of time to shoot before having to leave for a day of work but we got in a brief little session in her cute Santa Monica apartment and I think the photos capture a Good Morning.
