A sliver in time can make all the difference in the world. From Fall of 2006 until Fall of 2007 I briefly lived full-time in South Florida. I came there knowing no one outside of my immediate family who had moved there just a few years prior themselves. A month in to my time I saw an ad for a place called "The Fetish Factory" on Craig's List. They described themselves as an adult version of Hot Topic. I had never worked retail before but had always wanted to and knew that they only way to get in to retail was to work retail. I applied anyway citing my relationship to alternative culture as a DJ in the Goth/Industrial scene. I was called back for an interview and got the job probably mostly due to timing since they had hit their busy time of Halloween. I met a lot of amazing people there including Val. Val started just a few weeks after I did and we hit it off pretty much right away when she offered to blaze me out.
Since I left Florida for the equally sunny but less humid California, Val and I have remained friends on social media and run in to each other when hanging out with mutual friends. I've always felt like we are friends and maybe that's been to my detriment because until this trip I hadn't gone out of my way to say, "Hey Val! Let's do something together". Fortunately for both of us I now had a purpose. With all the sets I've been doing on my site I knew that a trip to Florida meant I had to work with Val. Val Vampyre is one of Florida's premiere Fetish Models and South Florida being the biggest Fetish scene in America means that in my eyes this is a big deal. We had a great time working together and I'm really excited to show you these photos as we are just one day from Halloween where I will be on a boat in party mode. It was so great catching up with Val and I look forward to shooting with her again hopefully sometime this year.
