My good friends Ramonda Hammer are doing a Kickstarter to raise money for their first professional EP. They are in their last 27 hours, have exceeded their goal and now they are promising more songs. If you haven't listened to their music they are way rad and should and donate to help support such killer artists at this link
To help raise awareness for the remaining hours of their Kickstarter we have a double shot of recent shows I photographed of the band. The first set takes place at Dirty Laundry in the heart of Hollywood near a place I used to DJ at in my DJing days. Those that live in LA know the real nature of Hollywood because we see it after dark. It's dirty, scummy, and magical (but awful). Dirty Laundry is a cool speakeasy style venue down a dark set of stairs in some side street. The digital projection made for some amazing looks for this performance. I was pretty stoked on so many of the photos and the band was awesome. I even got a self portrait hiding in there.
The second set is a little different. Devin, Andy, and Justin brought me along for a special acoustic set iwith the band minus Danny's drums and Amy's backup vocals. The show took us to a pizza shop in Riverside, CA for the headlining band of 3 booked bands for an otherwise Open Mic night by Odd Records Riverside who is doing their own crowdsourcing fundraiser at the moment. I suggested the band sit on the couches in the pizza lounge. They were happy to oblige and I think the whole show came off very intimately.
The band is awesome, you should support them and check out their music.
