The first thing I should note is that I'm slightly delirious while writing this post. The reason for this is because I'm shooting photos and video with the ever-talented Angelina Christina for a new mural she is working on in The Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles alongside a new collaborator Fanakapan, a London-based Graff Writer/Street Artist (I can't say enough nice things about Fanakapan but that'll be another post for another day). I'm working on four hours sleep but this is not atypical for work with Angelina who is constantly working to bust out amazing new art.
Those familiar with my site know that I've photographed Angelina in a variety of situation both as a muralist and as a model. Our most recent trip prior to today came just several weeks ago before I left for Florida with Angelina in the thick of Downtown for today's new set. We got a chance to shoot some new photos together on an amazing rooftop where Angelina was being put up for the night and then after sleeping for several hours we headed back up for shots at dawn. Downtown Los Angeles on a rooftop at dawn with one of your closest friends and favorite subjects to photograph is definitely a bucket list item. The night before we also got the chance to stop by the excellent Mexican Restaurant Petty Cash where Angelina has two pieces done in collaboration with Ease One for the restaurant of American music icons Johnny Cash and Tom Petty. Petty Cash was a fun place to shoot a few photos and also resulted in me getting salsa all over myself.
