I had crazy weekend. I started off on Friday adventuring around with Kung Fu Babe Stephanie Weitekamp for a rad upcoming set (we also shared a grilled cheese). This would give way to the epic day of Saturday where I started the day doing some freelance work shooting video of a Suicide Prevention Walk in Santa Monica and then following that up with 4 different art shows including the amazing new Dabs Myla installation. I finished out the weekend doing two shoots and spending my entire day on the westside of Los Angeles (it's like a world away for a guy living in Northeast LA).
The last time I had such a crazy day was the weekend I met Caitlin Aamodt. Caitlin's boyfriend is my friend Alex I went to college with. Alex and I weren't close in Ithaca but shared in some good laughs at a few parties, share a bunch of friends, and both got in trouble because of the internet. Alex and I hadn't realized that each of us on our own had gotten involved in the fetish scene until Alex saw that the work I was doing for my former fetish employer. We then ran in to each other at Wry's Bday Party (if you don't know what this is then I've already said too much but it's a big kinky party for the people that know people) and got a chance to catch up. I also got a chance to meet Caitlin and sometime after that we decided to shoot together.
Caitlin is a Burner and all around interesting girl. We adventured along with Alex around USC and The Hammer. Caitlin was great to spend some time getting to know. I think the photos made me think about the other side of Halloween which is less about being scary and more about mysticism.
